Best Friends Pamper Gift

Hey Everybody,

I am sure there are times when you love to pamper yourself, just like I do, so I thought why not put together a pamper kit for some of your girl friends.

I decided to do this for my friends for Christmas but you could adapt it for birthdays, get well soon presents or even just a pick me up for someone who is feeling a bit down.

I don't know about you, but I am on a budget, so I have tried to keep costs down by making some of the gifts myself.

The gift contains the things that I think my girl friends would like, but you can change it to suit your  friends.
So here we go, here's how I put mine together:

With it being Christmas, I decided to build myself a Christmassy workshop to get myself into the festive mood.

The first item is an UNBAKED BROWNIE IN A JAR!

This is an idea that I first saw on Meg DeAngelis' YouTube video: DIY Christmas Gift Ideas: Easy & Cheap DIY Presents!

Make sure to check her channel out, she has some amazing ideas!

But I've decided to take a short cut, and used a store bought brownie mix.

Everything I used in this unbaked brownie in a jar can be purchased from all major superstores.

You will need a suitably sized storage or preserve jar (which will hold up to one litre of ingredients)

I found that clear glass ones give the best finished look.

Open your packet of brownie mix and remove jar lid.

The  brownie mix I used came with white and dark chocolate chips, but I decided to make it extra luxurious by adding in milk chocolate chips and marshmallows.

Pour entire contents into your jar, make sure to gently shake your jar from side to side to ensure the ingredients lie level.

Add your marshmallows and chocolate chips.

Replace lid and your ready to decorate.

To decorate I used some coloured ribbon and labels which had the full recipe to make the finished brownies. However, you could add stickers or glass colouring markers to personalize your jar.

Most recipes and baking instructions can be found on the back of store bought mixtures. Make sure to include a copy of the instructions so they know any other ingredients to add such as egg, water and oil.

The finished product!

Next I added a candle, with it being Christmas, I chose one scented with Christmas spice.

I added homemade bath bombs, watch out for future blogs on how you can make your own!

Now add a beauty treatment, I went with facemasks as H&M have a wonderful selection.

Finally I put in a pair of fluffy slipper socks and some sachets of hot chocolate powder to pamper to the max!

Pop it into a gift bag then your good to go, your very own ultimate pamper kit!

Just imagine a cold winters night or your just feeling a bit low, set the oven away and make your brownies, run a bath, pop the bath bombs in, use your face mask, have a long soak, put your pyjamas  and slipper socks on, settle yourself down with a good DVD (or YouTube ) with a cup of hot chocolate and a slice of freshly baked brownie. Heaven!

CAUTION:

Remember food and skin products can cause allergic reactions, so be sure to check with your friends if they have any allergy problems.

Not all of the products I have used, will be suitable for young children, and if you include products such as candles or products that require the use of ovens, electrical appliances or water, they should always be supervised by a responsible adult.
